Here in our cherished farmhouse in Barrowford (near Colne, Lancashire), we offer our guests a true Lancashire welcome and true homecooked fayre.

Situated in a beautiful, tranquil location alongside the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, Higher Wanless is ideal for a relaxing break, and is a convenient centre for touring the picturesque area of Pendle.

Come and meet our friendly Shire Horses, take a leisurely stroll along the canal towpath to the famous Mile Tunnel, or go for a sail on the Passenger Barge towards the locks.

Just a few minutes away from the Yorkshire Dales, and one hour from Manchester Airport, Higher Wanless offers an ideal stop-over for travellers heading into Scotland from the South, or vice-versa.
